Tilapia Baked or Grilled

  I hope everyone's enjoying the beautiful weather! Since spring is almost here, I wanted to share this easy and delicious Tilapia recipe that's great on the grill or in the oven.

Tilapia baked with tomato ginger salsa, served with lentils and couscous

Ingredients:

1 large chopped tomato
1 med size chopped onion
1/4 cup finely chopped ginger 
3 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil
4 tilapia filets (thawed)
salt and pepper
Foil
Oil for greasing foil

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees 
2. Mix tomatoes,onion,ginger,soy sauce,and sesame oil in a    
   bowl. Set aside.
3. Prepare foil. Cut about 2 1/2 to 3 times larger than the 
   Tilapia fillet.  Lightly grease one side.
4. Place tilapia on the middle of the greased foil and season      with salt and pepper 
5. Place mixed tomato-onion-ginger on top of the fillet.
6. Enclose Tilapia in foil by securely folding the foil over the    filet (refer to pictures below) 
7. Place the foil pockets/packs in a baking dish and bake at 
   425F for about 20 to 25 minutes or place directly on top of a    covered grill for about 20 to 30 minutes 

*Cooked Tilapia is white and flakes easy with a fork.

If you're short on time, place tilapia fillets on a baking dish, top with chopped tomatoes, onions, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil, cover with foil and bake  for about 20-25 mins.

Tilapia Baked or Grilled
